The Herstory pedagogy pushes the boundaries of writing in school settings beyond English courses amplifying its impact to Spanish, Social Studies, and Math classes alike. Since 2010, the Herstory Writers Network school program has been working in lockstep with passionate teachers, administrators, and school counselors. Herstory facilitators act as catalysts for transformational experiences in an expanding number of school districts. The stories that have sprung to life illuminate the real immigrant experience-- one of dreams, compassion, sacrifice, determination, and unwavering courage-- in ways that no reader will ever forget.
